Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a quickly evolving public health crisis in the UK and abroad. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the outbreak a public health emergency on 30th January 2020. Additionally, the rapid spread of coronavirus led the WHO to classify the outbreak as a global pandemic in mid-March 2020.

As new information emerges, PMP encourages all customers to stay current about the epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and management of coronavirus. We also urge our customers to remain vigilant regarding new developments and established best practices for infection prevention and control, particularly in relation to patient assessment and triage, infectious disease precautions, hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment, and environmental cleaning and disinfection.
